About North Wilts
Established in 1890, North Wilts Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in Wiltshire. It is situated high on the downlands of the county, with spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. The chalk base allows for free draining and the 18 hole par 71 course offers a real test to golfers of all standards. The club has been selected to host a number of National and Regional EGU competitions in recent years, including the English Boys County Finals and the Reid Trophy (the National under 14 Schoolboy Championship).
Having ten holes on one side of the Devizes to Calne road and eight on the other, the course offers the member a natural opportunity for a "short round" if this is desired. This feature also allows a natural break in the longer round where one can stock up on drinks, snacks and even balls if need be!
Two full time PGA golf professionals are on hand to offer advice on just about anything golf related and also provide a variety of tuition options. The well stocked pro shop is full of the latest equipment available at very competitive prices.
Recently extended, the present clubhouse has a large bar with a separate TV lounge and a comfortable dining room, all of which afford extensive views across the course and surrounding countryside. There is also a small spike bar for that quick refresher at the end of a round.
As a club we are very proud of our friendly reputation and we will do everything we can to make you and your family welcome, whether you're a prospective member or just visiting us for the day.
